TE Willson returns to practice as Seahawks near peak health
Tight end Luke Willson, one of the few injury concerns for the Seattle Seahawks, practiced fully on Thursday and is on track to play in Sunday's matchup against the NFC West-leading Arizona Cardinals.
Willson, who had been bothered by a toe injury, has seen his role diminish following the offseason acquisition of tight end Jimmy Graham from the New Orleans Saints. Willson has only nine catches for 125 yards and a touchdown.
Last season, Willson had the best game of his career in a 35-6 thumping of the Cardinals in Arizona. Willson hauled in three receptions for a career-high 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns, including an 80-yard scoring strike.
Starting left tackle Russell Okung, who sat out Seattle's 13-12 win at Dallas prior to last week's bye, also practiced fully Thursday, as did running back Marshawn Lynch. Defensive end Michael Bennett (non-injury related) was the only absence at practice.
