Defending "Wing Bowl" champion Jonathan "Super" Squibb defeated eating legend Bill Simmons, known in competition as "El Wingador," on Friday, keeping the cherished "Wing Bowl" title in Philadelphia, where the annual Super Bowl week contest occurs.

In front of more than 20,000 cheering fans, Simmons, who came out of retirement to try to take back his crown, took Squibb to overtime, but ultimately succumbed to fullness, losing by only one wing.

The victory gave Squibb — who put down 255 wings in 30 minutes — his third consecutive title.

Squibb, 25, had been the odds-on favorite, at 2-to-1.

Squibb, who is 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds and was dressed in a Superman costume, won $20,000 for the accomplishment.

He also got a pickup truck and a crown decorated plastic chicken wings.
