Steelers' Tomlin makes it a two-fer Sunday

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin must've known something that no one else did.

Tomlin had his offense go for two on its first two touchdowns, and both were successful. On the third touchdown, he sent out kicker Josh Scobee, who promptly missed the extra point.

Scobee had plenty of chances to redeem himself as the Steelers scored three more times in their 43-18 drubbing of the San Francisco 49ers. Scobee's next attempt just barely made it inside the right goal post, but he was true on the next two tries.

The former Jaguars kicker struggled in his first game as a Steeler, missing two of his four field goal attempts in Week 1 against New England. While the kicking conditions at Heinz Field are among the toughest in the league, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger says he doesn't lack any confidence in his new kicker.

"We put so much time and effort into those plays and if you’re going to be successful doing them, why not do it?," Roethlisberger said. "It’s nothing against Scobee, we believe that he’s going to make every one. This has nothing to do with him, we have that much confidence in ourselves. We do it every single day."

"We're going to take our shots," said wide receiver Antonio Brown, who had nine catches for 195 yards and a touchdown. "It's another opportunity to put points on the board."
