Steelers rookie Archer getting up to speed

PITTSBURGH (AP) The Pittsburgh Steelers are expecting undersized rookie Dri Archer to make a big impact.

The Steelers took the 5-foot-8, 173-pound Archer in the third round of last month's draft, hoping his blazing speed can give Pittsburgh's offense a boost.

Archer ran the 40-yard dash in 4.26 seconds at the NFL combine, the second-fastest time in combine history. The Steelers plan to use Archer's quickness in a variety of ways. He is splitting time at running back and wide receiver during organized team activities and will also get a chance to return kicks.

The 22-year-old Archer says he doesn't really care where he lines up as long as he gets an opportunity to play.
