The Pittsburgh Steelers' no-nonsense head coach is joining the social media era.
Mike Tomlin officially joined Twitter on Friday, becoming just the fifth NFL head coach to have an account with the web site.
He was nearing 62,000 followers as of late Saturday morning.
Tomlin, a strong speaker always good for a sharp quote, wasted no time asserting that he will bring that same tone to Twitter:
A few hours after his inaugural tweet, he sent another of him hanging out with Steelers chairman Dan Rooney:
Jeff Fisher, Jim Schwartz, Pete Carroll and Bruce Arians are currently the only other pro head coaches on Twitter.
