Staff prediction for Dolphins game against Tennessee Titans
Each week the Phinphanatic staff will bring you their prediction for the upcoming game.* This week has the Miami Dolphins hosting the Tennessee Titans for this week 5 matchup.
* Due to the effects of Hurricane Matthew, many of our writers did not have access to the internet and thus couldn’t contribute to this feature. We look forward to having them back for next week’s game.
Scott LascariDespite an atmosphere tempered by the recent storm, the Dolphins come out firing to bring smiles to Florida. The offense ties its best performance of the year while the defense plays well and creates multiple turnovers against an anemic Titans’ offense. Sunnier skies and a second home win of the year are on the horizon. Prediction: Dolphins 24 Titans 13Tyler OlsonLast Thursday nights game against Cincinnati was ugly. Lucky for Miami the Tennessee Titans’ offense seems to be as big of a question mark as the Dolphins. Miami is best at stopping the run, Tennessee’s strong suit. If the game is played in Miami I’ll give the Dolphins the edge. This’ll be a defensive battle. Prediction: Miami 20 Tennessee 16Matthew StevensExpect Tennessee RB DeMarco Murray to have a 100-yd rushing game but Mariota will find himself once again running for his life in the pocket. On the other side of the ball, the Titans has shown little semblance of a pass rush so Tannehill will find plenty of time to throw. I’m not expecting a repeat of last year’s 38-10 thrashing but Miami should, once again, defeat the Titans. Prediction: Dolphins 27 Titans 17
