Source: Tom Coughlin withdraws name from Eagles' head-coach search

Former New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin has withdrawn his name for consideration for the Philadelphia Eagles' head-coaching job, FS1 NFL Insider Mike Garafolo has confirmed. The news originally was reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter, who said Wednesday night that the Eagles had turned their focus on Coughlin and the two sides had intensified conversations.

However, it appears that the potential pairing just wasn't the right fit, and the Eagles quickly turned to Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson.
