Source: Cardinals QB Stanton sustains knee sprain

BY foxsports • December 12, 2014

The Arizona Cardinals' worst fears regarding the right knee of quarterback Drew Stanton were not realized on Friday morning.

Stanton, who hobbled off in the third quarter of Thursday night's 12-6 win against the St Louis Rams, suffered a knee sprain and will be evaluated on a week-to-week basis, sources tell FOXSports.com's NFL insider Alex Marvez.

Stanton was sacked by defensive lineman Aaron Donald and appeared to be in a great deal of pain. Stanton was eventually carted into the locker room and replaced by third-year quarterback Ryan Lindley.
