Skins LT Trent Williams out with hurt knee, ankle
LANDOVER, Md. (AP) Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams has left their game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first quarter with a sprained right knee and injured ankle.
The Redskins say Williams will not be back Sunday.
The two-time Pro Bowl selection was blocking on a third-down play when Bucs defensive lineman Gerald McCoy appeared to knock into his right leg. Williams stayed down for a couple of minutes, then favored his right leg as he was helped to the sideline.
Moments later, Williams limped as he walked toward the tunnel leading to the locker room. When Washington got the ball next, Morgan Moses was in at left tackle.
Williams and McCoy were college teammates at Oklahoma and were drafted consecutively in the first round in 2010.
