Barry Sims is starting at left tackle for the San Francisco 49ers against Tampa Bay in place of the injured Joe Staley.

Kicker Joe Nedney also was among the Niners' inactives Sunday against the Buccaneers because of a right knee strain and a bone bruise sustained last week against St. Louis. San Francisco signed Shane Andrus to fill in for him.

Staley broke his left leg against the Rams and is expected to miss four to six weeks.

James Lee started at right tackle for Tampa Bay instead of Jeremy Trueblood, out with a knee injury. Other lineup changes for the Bucs included Tim Crowder at defensive end in place of Kyle Moore (shoulder) and linebacker Adam Hayward starting for Quincy Black (hamstring).
