Minnesota wide receiver Jerome Simpson is active for Sunday's game at Detroit after serving a three-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

The suspension stemmed from an offseason felony drug conviction.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford is active for the Lions. He left last weekend's loss to Tennessee with an injured right hip.

Detroit safety Amari Spievey is inactive with a groin problem. Ricardo Silva, signed from the practice squad Saturday night, is expected to start at safety.
