Seattle's Marshawn Lynch out with hamstring injury

Published Sep. 27, 2015 6:53 p.m. ET

SEATTLE (AP) Marshawn Lynch has suffered a hamstring injury and will not return for the Seattle Seahawks.

Lynch was ruled out early in the second half on Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

The hamstring injury capped a strange day for Lynch, who remained in the Seattle locker room through pregame warmups and didn't come out to the sideline until the 7:40 mark of the first quarter. He finished with just 14 yards rushing on five carries.

Lynch caught a 9-yard pass from Russell Wilson on fourth-and-1 in the final minute of the first half, but wasn't in on the last four offensive plays of the second quarter.

He was questionable coming into the game with a calf injury that kept him out of practice two of three days this past week.
