Seahawks lose WR Burleson

Published Dec. 17, 2009 5:16 p.m. ET

Nate Burleson has a high ankle sprain and may not play again this season for the Seahawks.

Coach Jim Mora said Wednesday that Burleson is out for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay.

Mora says the team has a decision to make on what they want to do with him over the final three games of the season. He could end up on injured reserve to clear a roster spot.

Burleson was injured by a helmet to his ankle on a punt return Sunday at Houston. He kept playing, caught a sideline pass and then hobbled off the field for good.

Mora also says he is making changes on the offensive line. Chris Spencer is out at center, replaced by rookie Max Unger. Spencer and recently signed Mike Gibson will split game time at right guard.
