Seahawks fans are upset at Sherman over softball invite
One of the most popular players on the Seattle Seahawks roster has some fans angry at him over one of his invites to his charity celebrity softball game. Richard Sherman has extended an invitation to boxing champion Floyd Mayweather to join him at the event.
Mayweather has a history of domestic violence and fans chimed in on social media to voice their displeasure with Sherman's choice to have Mayweather in attendance.
@RSherman_25 Why would you want to associate with a convicted serial woman-beater like him?

Sherman did respond to all the criticism.
Fans fired back again at Sherman after his response.

The softball event itself will be held July 19 at Safeco field where many of Sherman's teammates and other celebrities will be in attendance. Some of the names include Russell Wilson, Kam Chancellor, Doug Baldwin and basketball star Russell Westbrook.
