Seahawks' Carroll not ruling out 'lightning fast' Richardson
The Seattle Seahawks could have their most dangerous deep threat back in the lineup for Sunday's game at the Dallas Cowboys.
Wide receiver Paul Richardson, who has been sidelined since tearing an ACL in January in a playoff game versus Carolina, practiced for the first time Monday after coming off the physically unable to perform list.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Richardson looked "lightning fast" during Monday's practice and did not rule him out for Sunday, even though the team has three weeks to make a decision on whether to add him to the 53-man roster.
“I’m just going one day at a time and just see how he does,” Carroll said. “Guys have been raving about him in the training workouts, he’s been top speed for some time now worked him really hard. So they think he is going to be able to withstand the practice mode. Just have to see how he takes to it and where he is.”
Richardson, a second-round draft pick in 2014, averaged 18.1 yards on 29 catches during his rookie season and had five receptions in each of the final two regular-season games before he was injured.
Pete Carroll says it's not unrealistic to think WR Paul Richardson could play Sun at DAL. Returned to practice today off PUP list #Seahawks
