Seahawks' Baldwin breaks 30-year-old TD mark, surpasses 1,000 yards
Wide receiver Doug Baldwin provided one of the few highlights for the Seattle Seahawks in Sunday's 23-17 loss to the visiting St. Louis Rams.
Baldwin set a franchise record with his 14th touchdown catch of the season to eclipse the single-season mark of 13 set by Daryl Turner in 1985.
5 Games. 11 trips to the end zone. And this one goes for 25. All Doug Baldwin does is score touchdowns. #STLvsSEA https://t.co/QVZaqcTCdl

“I’ll think about it when I retire,” Baldwin told the media of his milestone catch.
The record-breaker for Baldwin came early in the third quarter on a 26-yard strike from quarterback Russell Wilson in the end zone with four St. Louis defenders surrounding him.
Baldwin has 100 yards receiving, giving him 1,005 for the year. That makes him the #Seahawks' first 1,000-yard WR since Bobby Engram in '07.

Snubbed in the Pro Bowl balloting last week, Baldwin finished with eight receptions for 118 yards to register the first 1,000-yard season of his career. He also became the first Seattle wideout to reach 1,000 yards since Bobby Engram in 2007.
Baldwin is averaging six receptions over his last seven games, but his focus was more on the Seahawks' subpar performance Sunday than his own individual accomplishments.
“We have a lot of weaknesses that we need to fix," Baldwin said. "We're very good at correcting our mistakes. So that's what we'll look to do."
