Rolando McClain returns for Cowboys' mandatory mini-camp

When the Dallas Cowboys open up their mandatory mini-camp, projected starting middle linebacker Rolando McClain will be there. McClain missed the Cowboys' first three weeks of OTA practices while recovering from offseason surgery and dealing with personal issues.
When the Cowboys had their walk-through practice on Tuesday morning, McClain was a participant, according to head coach Jason Garrett. McClain will be a limited participant through the mini-camp, but the Cowboys do expect to have him as a full participant when they open up training camp later this summer.
“Don’t want to make any projections,” Garrett said, per the Dallas Morning News, “but certainly he’s made a lot of progress and we feel good about where he is.”
McClain had a breakout season in 2014 after resurfacing with the Cowboys following a rocky start to his NFL career.
