Richard Sherman said Tom Brady's 'heart is gone' after second INT

Published Feb. 7, 2015 3:14 p.m. ET

Richard Sherman learned the hard way that no one should ever question Tom Brady's heart.

The Seattle Seahawks cornerback, one of the NFL's biggest trash talkers, said after Brady's second interception in Super Bowl XLIX that the New England Patriots quarterback's "heart is gone."

Sherman's comments about Brady recently were shown during the second-half highlights segment of the Super Bowl edition of "Inside the NFL" (skip to the 1:57 mark of the video below).

Brady responded by leading the Patriots on a historic comeback that included two fourth-quarter touchdown passes. He finished with a Super Bowl-record 37 completions for 328 yards and four touchdowns, and his performance was rewarded with a third career Super Bowl MVP award.

Sherman was perplexed after Malcolm Butler sealed the game with his shocking interception, but the Seahawks CB did shake Brady's hand after the game, but he might want to tone down the trash talk whenever the Seahawks play the Patriots in the future.
