Report: Titans LB Massaquoi likely to miss OTAs

Published May. 25, 2015 11:38 p.m. ET

The Tennessee Titans are set to begin full-team OTAs on Tuesday, but they'll likely be without one of their offseason additions for a while.

According to ESPN's Paul Kuharsky, outside linebacker Jonathan Massaquoi is recovering from surgery to remove a bone spur in his shoulder and isn't expected to be healthy until the start of training camp.

The Titans claimed Massaquoi off waivers from the Atlanta Falcons in March. He's expected to provide depth behind starter Brian Orakpo.

As Kuharsky notes, Massaquoi's absence from OTAs would create an opportunity for some of Tennessee's young linebackers, including Kaelin Burnett, Chaz Sutton and 2015 sixth-round pick

Deiontrez Mount.
