Report: Sean McDermott expected to be in high demand this offseason

At this point, it's probably not much of a surprise, but the defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers is getting attention as a potential head coach.

For Sean McDermott, it's well-deserved. He's led an absolutely stellar Carolina defense in 2015, and as Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports, McDermott could be a top option for one specific team.

That team? The San Diego Chargers.

Part of the reasoning behind why, as La Canfora points out, is that current Chargers head coach Mike McCoy could be a great fit as the offensive coordinator under McDermott. The two worked together with the Panthers, but at this point, it's all strictly speculation.

Even as Eric D. Williams of ESPN reports, McCoy isn't concerned about his job security at this point. That may all be a smokescreen though, as the Chargers are 3-8 and have massively disappointed this season.

Regardless, this is going to be an interesting situation to watch, but you can bet that McDermott is fully focused on his job leading the Panthers to the promised land.
