Report: Broncos will meet with free agent tackle Jake Long

Published Jul. 30, 2015 3:53 p.m. ET

Denver's efforts to replace its lost franchise left tackle just took an interesting turn.

According to the New York Daily News, the Broncos will host former No. 1 overall pick Jake Long for a visit to Dove Valley. Long could help efforts to replace fallen tackle Ryan Clady, who was lost earlier in the spring with an ACL tear.

Of course, Long has dealt with his own knee injuries. The former St. Louis Ram has seen his season cut short with back-to-back ACL tears.

He'll reportedly be put through a rigorous physical in Denver. Then, the former Michigan tackle will choose between the Broncos and others suitors in the New York Giants and the Atlanta Falcons.
