Denver Broncos cut rookie linebacker Kevin Alexander after he was arrested Monday morning on charges of assault and battery, Denver’s KUSA-TV reported.

Alexander, 23, was picked up by Aurora police after his girlfriend reportedly called 911 Sunday night.

On Monday, the Broncos waived Alexander, who had four tackles in eight games this season.

The 6-foot-4, 265-pound former Clemson Tiger reportedly posted a $2,000 bond and was released from jail Monday afternoon.
