Reid: Chiefs aren't considering Evan Mathis at all

There will be no Philadelphia reunion in store for ex-Eagles guard Evan Mathis.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid told reporters that his team isn't interested in signing the star blocker at Thursday's open media session.

Reid seems content to roll into the season with one former Pro Bowler -- Ben Grubbs -- at guard. There's also the issue of cap space, of which the Chiefs have none. Mathis would have to take a major cut from his reported asking price to rejoin Reid with the Chiefs.

Mathis was only tied to Reid because of their two seasons together in the City of Brotherly Love. Apparently, there wasn't enough love fostered to warrant a workout or contract offer.
