Redskins' Ryan Grant blames himself for Kirk Cousins's pick-six

Earlier this week, Kirk Cousins took the blame for his overtime pick-six that led to the Washington Redskins' Week 5 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. On Wednesday, wide receiver Ryan Grant, who was the target on the pass, pointed the finger at himself instead.

“I slipped, Grant said to reporters, per The Washington Post. “It was supposed to be on my outside shoulder. I slipped, threw the play off, and that’s how the game ended.”

With DeSean Jackson out with a hamstring injury, Grant has operated as the team's No. 2 outside wide receiver. In his second season, Grant recognizes that he has had his ups and downs.

“We watched the film, I made some mistakes and from this point on, just work harder, get better, spend time in the film room,” Grant said. “Just have amnesia. … I slipped. That’s not like me. I’m better than that. I hold myself to high standards. Unfortunately, I slipped and that ended the game. But I think that’ll make me a stronger player.”
