Redskins announce re-signing of LB Bryan Kehl

The Washington Redskins have announced the re-signing of unrestricted free agent linebacker Bryan Kehl.

Kehl's strength is special teams, and his signing Friday helps soften the blow of the loss of Lorenzo Alexander, the Pro Bowl special teams player who left the Redskins as a free agent this week to sign with the Arizona Cardinals.

Kehl was in training camp with the Redskins last year but was cut before the start of the regular season. He then signed with the Kansas City Chiefs and was waived after appearing in three games.

The Redskins claimed him off waivers in late November, and he played in Washington's final five regular season games as well as the playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
