Ravens' Justin Forsett out for season with broken arm

Published Nov. 22, 2015 1:43 p.m. ET

Baltimore Ravens running back Justin Forsett suffered a broken right arm in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams.

Forsett was tackled hard behind the line of scrimmage by Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald, then appeared to get his right arm caught underneath his body when he was slammed to the ground.

The Ravens' medical staff placed Forsett's arm in an air cast and he walked off the field under his own power. It didn't take long for the team to announce Forsett's diagnosis.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh announced after the game that Forsett broke both bones in his forearm and will miss the remainder of the season.

Forsett had four carries for 26 yards before exiting. Rookie Javorius Allen carried 22 times for 67 yards in relief, adding 48 yards on five catches.
