Rams' streak of 12 quarters without allowing touchdown ends

Published Dec. 21, 2014 4:34 p.m. ET

ST. LOUIS (AP) Odell Beckham Jr.'s 9-yard touchdown reception for the Giants in the first quarter ended the St. Louis Rams' streak of 12 consecutive quarters without allowing a touchdown.

The Giants had a short field after Benny Cunningham lost a fumble, forced by Orleans Darkwa and recovered by Nat Berhe at the St. Louis 21. They needed five plays to reach the end zone on Eli Manning's pass to Beckham, his 10th TD catch of the year - matching a Giants rookie record.

The Rams allowed four field goals in their last game, a 12-6 loss to the Cardinals. They shut out the previous two opponents, Washington and Oakland.
