Raiders cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha's sprained right ankle is keeping him out of Oakland's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Asomugha, one of the NFL's top pass defenders, also was inactive Nov. 7 when the Raiders beat Kansas City for their third consecutive victory.

Pittsburgh was without defensive end Brett Keisel (hamstring) for the fourth time in five games. Ramon Foster started at right guard for Trai Essex, although Essex was in uniform.

Oakland also deactivated wide receivers Darrius Heyward-Bey and Chaz Schilens, guard Daniel Loper, linebacker Bruce Davis, running back Michael Bennett and cornerback Walter McFadden, the brother of Steelers cornerback Bryant McFadden.

The Steelers held out safety Will Allen, running back Jonathan Dwyer, cornerback Crezdon Butler, offensive tackle Tony Hills and defensive end Aaron Smith.
