"He's in great shape, It's great to have him here," said head coach Andy Reid, who added that he's leaning against playing Berry in the Chiefs' final preseason game Thursday.
Berry and the Chiefs failed to come to an agreement on a long-term deal before the July 15 deadline. He will play this season on the $10.806 million tag. The two sides can't discuss a long-term contract until after the season.
