Patriots vs Falcons Live Stream: Watch Super Bowl 51 Online
The New England Patriots face the Atlanta Falcons in NRG Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 5 in Super Bowl 51. Here’s all the information you need to watch online.
In a journey that has lasted for nearly five months, Super Bowl 51 is finally here! The New England Patriots—the modern day dynasty—are making their ninth Super Bowl appearance. The Atlanta Falcons, on the other hand, are making just their second trip ever. Their first one, Super Bowl XXXIII, resulted in a loss, and the franchise is one of 13 NFL teams to have never won a Super Bowl.
When Patriots quarterback Tom Brady takes the field, he will be making his seventh career Super Bowl start. For comparison sake, Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan will be making just his eighth career playoff start. Brady, winner of four Super Bowl rings already, could pass Hall of Famers Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw for most Super Bowl wins by a quarterback ever with five. If Ryan wins, it would be his first championship at any level (high school or college).
Both teams got here on the right arm of their franchise quarterback. The Falcons led the league in scoring with over 33 points per game, while the Patriots lost only one game with Brady under center (he was suspended the first four weeks). Not to be overlooked though is the play of both defenses. The Patriots defense allowed the fewest points per game, and while the statistics aren’t as pretty for the Falcons, they have performed exceptionally well in the playoffs (including shutting out the Green Bay Packers in the first half of the NFC Championship Game).
