If the Patriots choose to enable the option, they would pay Revis a roster bonus worth $12.5 million and a base salary for $7.5 million, FOX Sports insider Alex Marvez reports..
Revis, who was released by the Buccaneers minutes before he was due a $1.5 milllion roster bonus, was set to earn $16 million with his former team.
The Patriots were looking to bolster their secondary after allowing cornerback Aqib Talib to sign with the Broncos on Tuesday.
Revis reportedly considered a return to the Jets, but not long after the report surfaced, the agreement with the Patriots did, too.
