Darrelle Revis’ time on the open market seemed as brief as his days in Tampa, Fla.

The former All-Pro cornerback has agreed to a two-year deal with the New England Patriots, FOX Sports Insider Mike Garafolo has confirmed. The deal inclued $12 million in first year and an option for 2015.

If the Patriots choose to enable the option, they would pay Revis a roster bonus worth $12.5 million and a base salary for $7.5 million, FOX Sports insider Alex Marvez reports..

The Patriots were looking to bolster their secondary after allowing cornerback Aqib Talib to sign with the Broncos on Tuesday.
