Panthers woken up by 5:30 a.m. fire alarm at Seattle hotel
The Carolina Panthers may be a bit sleepy when their game against the Seattle Seahawks kicks off, as players had to deal with an early-morning fire alarm at the team hotel Sunday.
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reports that the alarm at the Panthers’ hotel went off at about 5:30 a.m. Pacific Time. The players were forced to gather in a meeting space and were kept out of their rooms for almost an hour.
A number of Panthers players tweeted about the incident, and some didn’t think it was a coincidence.
Is it possible that the fire alarm on game day was a complete coincidence? Sure, but does anyone remember what happened to the New England Patriots during Super Bowl week earlier this year? Let’s just say the 12th Man has been a prime suspect in the past.
