Osweiler: I'm only concerned about starting this week

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) The Denver Broncos aren't ready to name Brock Osweiler their starter for the remainder of the season.

''No decision has been made on our QB situation beyond this week, contrary to speculation,'' the team tweeted Wednesday.

With the way the offense is rolling, speculation is rampant that Osweiler should keep the job even if Peyton Manning - who had the cast removed from his left foot Wednesday - gets healthy.

Osweiler isn't ready to view his starting job as more than a temporary gig, saying, ''All I know is I'm the starter this week against the Chargers. That's what I'm focused on. I'm focused on our game plan, being a good teammate and doing whatever I can to get a win this Sunday.''
