One very key word was missing from the Raiders' statement on L.A.

A late press release might tell Oakland fans all they need to know about the state of the Raiders.

It's short and sweet -- as if the team were trying to send a message to league owners, or something. And it omitted a certain word that all local fans should pick up on.

Via "The Raiders congratulate Stan Kroenke and the Rams on their successful bid for relocation to Los Angeles. The Raiders will now turn our attention to exploring all options to find a permanent stadium solution. We thank fans throughout the Raider Nation for their unrivaled passion and support."

The missing word? "Oakland." The city that has housed the storied franchise couldn't get a mention after 21 years.

Owner Mark Davis is mulling over his options. If Oakland were one of them, maybe it would've snuck in the team's statement somewhere.
