Houston Texans owner Bob McNair thinks he knows how the Los Angeles relocation race will play out.

The St. Louis Rams will stay put in the Midwest. And, in McNair's view, the San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders will set up their new joint stadium in Carson, Calif.

McNair, via the Houston Chronicle: "I don’t think the Rams will receive the approval to relocate. So that would mean then you’d have two teams, San Diego and Oakland, that would be going into Carson, (Calif.). They have a partnership to build a stadium.”

That's an important opinion voiced by an important man. McNair is one of six members on the NFL's committee to coordinate Los Angeles relocation. His opinion is an important one.

In McNair's mind, the Chargers and Raiders are leading candidates. By herding them into one new home, it helps two teams out. Plus, their stadium plans are far more developed -- and now, coordinated by someone who knows the market.

Said McNair: “Bob Iger, who is the CEO of Disney, has agreed to be their non-executive chairman to shepherd that whole event and introducing those teams back to the L.A. market, the branding and what have you. And I think he’d probably do a pretty spectacular job.”
