NFL hasn't called Suh about foul-mouthed outburst, but his mom has
Ndamukong Suh found himself at the center of a controversial play once again on Sunday. After holding Tyrod Taylor in his grasp for a few seconds, the official elected not to blow the play dead, resulting in an incomplete pass and not a sack. After the play, Suh was heard telling the official "I’m going to slam the [expletive] out of him next time."
One day after his outburst, Suh claimed it was "all about player safety," saying he didn't want tackle Taylor by his collar.
On Wednesday, Suh said he hasn't heard from the NFL about his statement to the official, but he has been contacted by someone else about it: his mother. According to Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald, Suh's mother contacted him about his f-bomb, which led him to apologize for the profanity.
It's unknown if the NFL will indeed contact Suh about his remarks to the official, but a fine isn't out of the question. For Suh, fines and disciplinary action is nothing new, so he's likely prepared for the worst-case scenario.
