Published Feb. 16, 2010 6:25 p.m. ET

Scottie Montgomery filled the lone vacancy on the Pittsburgh Steelers' coaching staff by being hired as the wide receivers coach.

Montgomery held the same job at alma mater Duke the last four seasons. He played for the Denver Broncos from 2000-02 after being a two-time MVP at Duke.

Randy Fichtner coached the Steelers' wide receivers the last three seasons, but took over as quarterbacks coach when Ken Anderson retired at the end of the season

Duke had three receivers with more than 50 receptions and 600 yards each last season.
