Mike Evans makes list of top 100 players of 2014
If you thought Mike Evans was impressive in 2014, let's just wait and see what he can do for his encore performance. Apparently, we aren't the only ones throwing praise in the direction of Evans for his strong rookie season, as Pro Football Focus has listed Evans in their top 100 players of 2014.
As Sander Philipse of Bucs Nation pointed out, his final stat line could have ended up even better than it was. Evans spent portions of last season dealing with injuries, "while being thrown balls by Josh McCown and Mike Glennon behind the worst offensive line in the league."
With that said, you can't complain about a rookie hauling in 68 catches for 1,051 yards. Let's also not overlook his ridiculous 209-yard game against the Washington Redskins (as PFF pointed out). Also helping him land in the top 100 was the fact that he hauled in 12 scores.
So, what's the consensus? Is No. 94 on the list too low for the talented receiver in Tampa Bay?
