Manning: I have one more year and I'm gonna play that year and go from there
Eli Manning is set to enter the final year of his contract in 2015, and it's looking more likely that he will play out the season without an extension. In the mean time, fellow 2004 draftee and Super Bowl-winning quarterback Ben Roehtlisberger inked a five-year, $108 million contract with $31 million fully guarnateed, according to Albert Breer. Manning refuses to let this or any other outside chatter affect his mindset about how things stand as of now.
“I’m comfortable. I’ve got a job to do and that’s to play football. That’s my only concern,” Manning said, via Art Stapleton of the North Jersey Record. “I’ve never got too caught up with contract stuff. Way I look at it, I have one more year and I’m gonna play that year and go from there.”
