Lions have seen this twice during their 1-7 start to 2015 season
When the opposing team pulls the starting quarterback and puts in the backup late in a game it can only mean one thing: someone is getting blown out.
For the Lions, they've been the ones getting blown out this season. And against the Kansas City Chiefs in London, they saw backup quarterback Chase Daniel enter the game. It was the second time this has happened to them so far this season.
Well, this is the second time the #Lions have been bad enough to see a backup quarterback finish the game for the opponent.— Michael Rothstein (@mikerothstein) November 1, 2015
Daniel completed both of his pass attempts for four yards, as he helped the Chiefs close out their 45-10 win over the Lions.
The last time the Lions were losing so bad that the other team put in its backup quarterback was in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals. Detroit lost that game 42-17, as Arizona's Drew Stanton threw four passes (one completion, 10 yards) in relief for Carson Palmer late in the blowout.
