LB Shawne Merriman active for Chargers at Raiders

Linebacker Shawne Merriman is active for the San Diego Chargers after missing last week's game with a calf injury.

Merriman was questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders. He is on the active list for the game but is being replaced in the starting lineup by Antwan Applewhite.

Mike Tolbert is also getting the nod as starting running back ahead of Ryan Mathews. Tolbert is coming off the first 100-yard rushing game for the Chargers since 2008.

As expected, running back Darren McFadden and offensive lineman Robert Gallery were inactive for the Raiders.
