LB Scott Fujita playing for Browns vs Bengals

Published Sep. 16, 2012 1:17 p.m. ET

Cleveland Browns linebacker Scott Fujita is playing for the first time since his three-game bounty suspension was temporarily overturned on appeal.

Fujita practiced last week, showing he was recovered from a leg injury in training camp. He sat out an opening loss to the Eagles.

The Browns are short-handed at cornerback against the Bengals on Sunday. Joe Haden is serving the first of his four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances. Sheldon Brown was out of the starting lineup with an injured shoulder, replaced by Buster Skrine.

The Bengals start undrafted linebacker Vontaze Burfict in place of the injured Thomas Howard, out for the season with a torn knee ligament suffered last week in practice. Defensive end Carlos Dunlap (knee) and running back Bernard Scott (hand) are inactive.
