Las Vegas favors Chicago Bears over Philadelphia Eagles in week two
Las Vegas isn’t riding the Philadelphia Eagles’ wave as we enter week two.
Coming off of the Philadelphia Eagles‘ week one performance and victory, the detractors seemed to have dwindled in number. Maybe it’s because fans can have a tendency to put too much stock in what they’ve just seen. Maybe it’s because week one showed all NFL fans that there may be some chinks in the armor of the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins and New York Giants. Still, Las Vegas remains unimpressed as virtually everyone from Sportsbook.ag to the MGM Mirage to the Westgate Superbook sees the Eagles as the underdog heading into week two. The point spread ranges everywhere from one to three and a half points with eight of the nine sources listed on Vegasinsider.com seeing Philadelphia as, at least, a three point underdog.
Tight end Zach Ertz is still recovering from a displaced rib, and cornerback Leodis McKelvin is still nursing his hamstring injury. There’s still no word on the Lane Johnson suspension. Neither of those three have been ruled out for Monday, and having them definitely gives this team a better chance at winning. As an Eagles fan, you have to hope for the best, but, for whatever reason, this team has seen its’ fair share of missteps and letdowns when they’ve had to travel to Soldier Field. Still, Vegas has been wrong before, and we all hope they’re wrong in this one as well.
The game is four days away.
