DALLAS (AP) Jurors will begin deliberations in the punishment for the former Dallas Cowboys player convicted of intoxication manslaughter in his teammate's death.

The Dallas County jury will start deliberating Friday.

Both sides rested Thursday in the penalty phase of the trial of Josh Brent, who was found guilty in the death of Cowboys practice squad player Jerry Brown.

Brent could receive anything from probation to up to 20 years in prison.

Brent and Brown were friends and had played together at the University of Illinois. The two were driving home at the end of a night partying with teammates when Brent lost control of his Mercedes and crashed on a suburban Dallas highway.
