Jordan Spieth hopes Tom Brady is back to face his Cowboys in Week 5

It's not often that you hear a diehard Cowboys fan say he wants Tom Brady back in time to face Dallas in Week 5, but it happened on Tuesday -- and it was said by a two-time major champion.

Jordan Spieth is in Boston this week for the Deutsche Bank Championship this week, so he made a pit stop at Fenway Park before the tournament begins on Friday. Before throwing out the first on Tuesday, Spieth talked about Brady's suspension.

"I root for the Pats in the AFC,"  Spieth said via WEEI. "Obviously I am a die hard Cowboys fan. I root for my hometown."

It's safe to say Spieth will be pulling for his hometown Cowboys when they host the Patriots in Week 5, but he hopes that Brady's on the field for the matchup.

"Well, I am going to root for the Cowboys," he said. "I hope Brady’s back by then and I hope it’s a fair fight and I hope my ‘boys pull it off."

Brady is set to miss the Cowboys-Patriots battle in Week 5 with his current four-game suspension, but that could change. Judge Richard Berman said he will have a ruling by the end of the week, hopefully giving everyone closure on the Deflategate saga.

For Spieth, though, it's not about closure -- it's about a fair matchup against his team. Be careful what you wish for, Jordan.
