Jets WR Brandon Marshall named AFC Offensive Player of the Week
Brandon Marshall is having an outstanding, record-breaking season in his first year with the New York Jets. In 12 games, he's already caught 83 passes for 1,063 yards and 10 touchdowns, and became the first player in NFL history to record a 1,000-yard receiving season with four different teams.
To add to his accolades in 2015, Marshall was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his stat-stuffing performance against the New York Giants on Sunday in Week 13.
Marshall caught a season-high 12 passes for 131 yards and the game-tying touchdown in the final minute. The score forced overtime, where the Jets were able to top the Giants and come away with the win.

Incredibly, he's just two touchdowns shy of tying his career-high of 12 in one season and has already surpassed his numbers from 2014 in one fewer game -- and by a wide margin.
Marshall is the first Jets player to win the award since Geno Smith did it in Week 5 of 2013. It's also the third time in his career he's earned the honor, his first since 2009.
