Jets work out two running backs with Chris Ivory (quad) hurting

Following their loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles said Chris Ivory was dealing with some "tightness in his quad." Ivory was on and off the field early in the game, which could explain why he struggled for the first time this season.
It's unclear if the injury will sideline Ivory for any period of time, but the Jets are preparing for the worst. According to Rich Cimini of ESPN, the Jets worked out former Buccaneers running back Jeff Demps on Tuesday.
Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk is also reporting that the Jets worked out a handful of other players as well. Among them were running back Akeem Hunt, safety Cooper Taylor, and wide receiver Larry Pinkard.
The Jets will visit the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, though there's no indication any of the four players will be signed before then.
The Jets worked out ex-Bucs RB Jeff Demps, a former track star. They tried to sign him way back in August, 2012. #nyj
