NEW YORK (AP) The New York Jets have waived running back/kick returner C.J. Spiller and wide receiver/kick returner Jeremy Ross.

Coach Todd Bowles says Tuesday, a day after a 41-10 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, he has not yet decided how he will fill the two vacant spots on the active roster.

The Jets have also announced they signed wide receiver Darius Jennings to the practice squad and released wide receiver Mario Alford from the practice squad.

Spiller was signed by the Jets on Nov. 2 and returned five kickoffs for a 19.1 yard average. He also ran for 9 yards on three carries and caught a 7-yard pass in four games with New York.
