Jets sign LB Ochi, WR Williams to practice squad

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 2:45 p.m. ET

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) The New York Jets have signed outside linebacker Victor Ochi and wide receiver Wendall Williams to the practice squad, and released running back Raheem Mostert and wide receiver Myles White.

The moves Monday come a day after the Jets dropped their season opener 23-22 to Cincinnati.

The Jets had Ochi, a former Stony Brook star, in for a visit last week but didn't sign him because he failed his physical after being released by Baltimore without an injury designation. Ochi set the Stony Brook career record with 32+ sacks.

Williams, from the University of the Cumberlands, scored 15 touchdowns last season, including four on special teams.

White had been signed to the Jets' practice squad after the Giants waived him in August. Mostert was signed to the practice squad last week after being waived by Cleveland.
