Jets' Scott trademarks 'Can't Wait!'

Bart Scott couldn't wait to trademark his catchy catch phrase.

The Jets' loquacious linebacker told ESPN on Friday he has trademarked, ''Can't Wait!'' after the phrase that punctuated a postgame rant following New York's 28-21 playoff victory over the New England Patriots became an Internet sensation.

Scott said during an interview in Orlando, Fla., that the phrase ''took on a life of its own'' and that once he heard people wanted to feature it on T-shirts, ''if anybody is going to benefit off 'Can't Wait!' it should be me.''

Scott, an avid pro wrestling fan, also participated in a TNA Wrestling event last week. He helped Hulk Hogan, his idol, during a performance that was taped last week in Fayetteville, N.C., and aired Thursday night.
